Cats love to look for entertainment and usually, they find the most unusual things to do while they are not resting. In this case, Bailey the cat found himself a new toy, an I-robot vacuum known as the Roomba. He jumps on it and starts cleaning the house for free, or so we would wish. That is not quite what happens when Vicki Mayo, Bailey’s owner, runs the Roomba inside the house.
“I don’t even know if he realized he was actually moving across the floor, he was so obsessed with catching those brushes”, Vicki explains.
Bailey was always an easily distracted kitten. He was supposed to be put up for adoption same as the other kittens rescued from a Texas shelter. Vicki and her family kept Bailey since he became really attached to Vicki’s husband.
Vicki explains that “Bailey would follow him around like he was his buddy”. “Then, slowly but surely, he moved into our room and started sleeping with us. The rest is history.”
Now Vicki runs the rumba only when Bailey is in the bedroom, otherwise, she could never use it. Vicki mentions that “he kept sitting on the power button and turning the vacuum off”. “If I run it when he is out, my house would never get vacuumed.”
The pictures below will illustrate what would likely happen when you get a cat and then a Roomba, or the other way around.

Bailey will tell you that the hardest part of learning how to ride on a robot vacuum is how to avoid turning the power off??
