Everything began after Liam Rice from the Isle of Man shared on Twitter a number of selfies with his charming husky Luna, who has a tradition of imitating his facial expressions. People liked the photos so greatly that they thought to attempt the same with their own furry friends, and a trend was created.
Liam loves animals, he works caring for animals at the Manx SPCA and in addition to Luna, he also has 5 kitties! After quite a while of working on all sorts of jobs, he finally feels like he’s carrying out his dream job. “My main duties at the ManxSPCA are caring for and rehoming dogs in the kennels,” he shared. “Fairly often I get the chance to help with the welfare side and go out and rescue animals such as cats, dogs and even more wild animals like seals!”
In case you haven’t heard about the Isle of Man, it’s a little, wild island situated in the Irish Sea, between Ireland and Great Britain. Famous for its interesting history and tradition, lots of motorcycle race and reputation as a tax-haven, it’s a fascinating location to live. “Life on the Isle of Man is wonderful, I am happy here and it is my home,” Liam stated. “Although occasionally I do feel disconnected from the rest of the world at times! It can be difficult to find somebody to settle down with as I am limited with the number of people on the island!”
