Cats love to climb and enjoy heights. Whether on a shelf or on top of the fridge, they are very comfortable seeing everything from above, keeping an eye on their surroundings.
Recently, Rob Coutu from Connecticut decided to embrace his cats’ instincts and built them two epic towers. These huge structures provide comfort and entertainment, and his cats are thrilled with them.

“I have two cats, a tabby and a Savannah cat.” Rob adds that the latter loves the towers so much that he has conquered them and does not want the tabby to use them.
It all began when Rob saw a construction of a tree that looked real, made by someone else. But the design didn’t fit in his mind, so he went back to his roots and built one that he knew would be fun and practical, but look good to cats and humans alike.
“The big tower was the last one I built, and it’s almost complete. It incorporates some design changes based on the interaction of the cats with the first tower, such as the balconies and the landings. And a skylight because Zach, the Savannah cat, is always looking out the roof of the other tower.”
This cat-lover said he hasn’t counted the cost of the project yet, but it must be around $3,500, plus the hours of work he’s put in, but it’s worth it. “Zach has been delighted from the start. I don’t have words to describe how much he likes it and how much he uses it.”
