A family in Florida heard something alarming coming from their neighbor’s house: a woman’s voice was heard calling for help. Fearing the worst, they called the police to investigate. A security camera recorded the moment when several agents arrived at the suspect’s house and found a much more amusing explanation than the twisted crime they were prepared for.
The video shows the officers approaching a man who is quietly fixing up his car in the driveway. In response to their questions, he laughs and offers to show them the source of the screams. A minute later he returns with Rambo, his beloved Amazon parrot, perched in his hand.

This man from Florida was working on his car when the police showed up
He laughed as he realized what they were coming to see
The culprit was a parrot, its owners say it’s common for it to scream when it’s alone
You can watch the video below:
The man explained to the police that the bird is 40 years old and has had it since childhood. With such a bond, he must be used to the parrot habits and forget that his vocabulary can alarm people. In an interview, he explains that as a child he taught Rambo how to ask for help to annoy his parents. He did not realize that he had created a problem.
Amazon parrots, a family with several species that are mostly green, are among the most widely used pets because of their talent for learning to talk. These birds live for at least 50 years and love to attract attention. They have good memories and bad habits stay with them, so you have to be careful what you say in front of them.

We can’t blame the worried neighbors for suspecting something was wrong and calling the police, but fortunately it was all a harmless misunderstanding. Rambo seemed happy to show off his vocabulary to the officers and then to the news crew who came to give him his 15 minutes of fame. The owner of the parrot even said that he took the parrot for a walk around the neighborhood to introduce himself and personally clear up any suspicions.
