The first time they heard it, Barbara and her partner couldn’t believe what their cat was saying. Because this kitty, when she’s hungry, instead of saying “meow” like all kitties, she prefers to say “uh-oh”. And very clearly, as if she had actually practiced those two syllables of the human dialect.
“When we get up in the morning and go to feed her without thinking, we say, ‘Uh-oh! your bowl is empty’ (…) Out of the blue, one morning, she said ‘Uh-oh’ first very clearly! (…) Now when we ask her: ‘Do you want to eat?’ she answers with a cordial ‘Uh-oh’ (…) ‘Uh-oh’ is not an expression of alarm, it is a demand. For her, it means ‘Feed me!'” – said her owner Barbara Jones.
