This golden retriever was probably very happy to enjoy a car ride with its owner, but her plans were different.
Brandon Price and Alyssa Ott noticed the infuriating event, which happened at Orchards Park in Vancouver, WA, and when they saw the vehicle stop, they started recording. The woman got out before the animal, and when the pet gets out and starts wagging its tail, she takes it for a walk. Immediately after covering a short distance and simulating the walk, she turns and runs to her car leaving the dog behind. A more than deplorable act.
Fortunately, the I Paw’d It Forward group intervened promptly, providing shelter to the pet and sharing the event on their social networks.
“We’d like to take a moment to use this situation as a learning experience and hopefully, by sharing this video, give others a break before contemplating the abandonment of their animal. This is what a dog that has just been abandoned looks like. He is still there. He’s still waiting. He’s still looking for you to come back. They are confused. They don’t understand why the humans to whom they dedicated their lives have disappeared.” – said I Paw’d It Forward on Facebook.
Although the dog was found quickly, the rescue center specifies that not all run with the same fate. Of all those left behind, just a few make it to the shelters.

The 13-year-old dog named Henry is not yet up for adoption while the case is being clarified, but it is presumed he was left because of his advanced age. For her part, the woman will have to face justice for a misdemeanor or a civil sanction.
We hope Henry finds a home where he’s appreciated in his last years. Surely someone will give him the love he deserves.
