In Mogi das Cruzes, Brazil, there is a certain Shell gas station unlike any other.
This particular gas station has its own canine employee fit with a hat, ID badge and an award-winning smile.
It’s true, Negao, the stray was taken in by the couple who purchased the station while it was under construction.
Sabrina Plannerer and her partner found Negao roaming the area after having been abandoned there.
Too fearful to leave the place, Negao stuck around and, instead of making him leave, the couple opted to adopt him.
He was given a job at the gas station along with everything else he could need to live a happy life.
Plannerer had the following to say about the situation:
“We adopted him immediately and got him all the care animals need. We took him to the vet to get vaccinated and de-wormed. We bought him food, a dog house, and a leash to take him on walks.”
Although he lives on site, this station is staffed 24/7 so he is never alone and always kept safe.
As a professional greeter he has made many friends, but he has also made waves with the FERA Group, an organization that aims to pair strays with businesses in a similar manner.
No longer a stray, it’s clear Negao will be OK with his new family and friends.
