Sonoma is a beautiful 20-year-old cocker spaniel that had always lived with the same family, until one day, they decided he was just too old to live with them so they left him at the Carson Animal Shelter, located in California. Being at public shelter, Sonoma didn’t stand much of a chance but thankfully, the good people at the Frosted Faces Foundation that takes care of senior dogs heard his story and quickly stepped in to give the little guy a second chance at life.
Despite being 20-years-old, Sonoma still has a lot of life in him. Aside from deafness and an ulcer in his eye that was quickly treated, he seems to be in good health. Kelly Smísek, founder of Frosted Faces Foundation shared that the work they do at the organization is all about doggies like Sonoma and they’re more than happy to have his back, as they look for a new home for him.
He is currently up for adoption, awaiting a loving family that’ll take him in and the Frosted Faces Foundation will help cover his health expenses for the rest of his life to make sure he does just fine.
