Kathy Grayson is an art enthusiast who also happens to own New York-based gallery ‘The Hole’ but one of her greatest discoveries wasn’t art related, instead she found a loving companion in Bert the pomeranian, a doggie that had been dumped by a breeder because at 5-months-old he was considered “too big” to be sold. The connection to Bert was so strong at first sight that Kathy flew all the way from NYC to Tulsa to adopt him, and the rest, as they say, is history.
And a cool story, indeed because although Bert had a difficult start in life, he now has not only a loving home and human mom, but also a cool job at the art gallery! “He’s been to dozens of openings, scores of art fairs in NYC, Miami, L.A. and the Hamptons even. He’s been to Canada and Seattle and D.C., to clubs, restaurants, bars, even the opera once! His motto is ‘Happy to be included!'”
At 4-years-old now, Bert is a very calm dog who enjoys his everyday shenanigans a lot and goes to work with mommy every day. People that regularly visit the gallery already know Bert and even bring along their pets as well so they can hang out. What a way to turn a doggie’s life around!
