One Man’s Quest To Save Lives
Pool season is upon us and many hours of fun and entertainment come along with having a backyard pool. One gentleman has gone above and beyond, however, to save the little creatures that can sometimes find an ill fate because of outdoor pools. Rich Mason, a wildlife biologist has invented a contraption that helps save all of those little creatures from a death warrant. After reading about frogs being trapped in pools, Mason decided to create a prototype of a life-saving device that can easily be installed in any pool.
Little Creatures Being Rescued
The Froglog was featured on The Dodo and since then has received over thousands of likes. One commenter said: “What a special human you are for caring about these seemingly insignificant lives.” Mason created the prototypes completely by hand. The Froglog consists of an inflatable platform, mesh netting skirt, a weighted pouch, and a mesh ramp. These components are perfect for so many creatures and the Froglog is saving one little life at a time. With the ingenuity of one man, hundreds of otherwise forgotten lives will be saved. Take a look at the video below on how the Froglog is saving backyard creatures.
