The good people at the No More Pain organization, based in New Jersey, found Ashley the pit bull in an abandoned home, where she was left to die. The poor thing was starving and the rescuers made sure she was taken care of while they tried to find her a permanent home, which is when the New York City Fire Department Station of Fort Pitt took in the pooch while they searched for a new home.
The big surprise? The firefighters fell in love with Ashley and decided to make the station her permanent home. After all, a gorgeous pit bull was the right addition to make it official Fort Pitt, right? Ashley now lives happily with her new family, where she is loved and goes on fun adventures, rescuing people and saving lives.
