Is there a difference between European and US yearbooks?

It’s hard to say, really, as there’s no such thing as a yearbook rule anyway. Most Senior Grads just
want to have great photos of them and patch them in either a digital or a physical yearbook, and
fashion changes as years go by. Also, considering we live in a global village, people from all over the
world can opt for the same design, as information travels so easily these days.

Having said that, there are some differences between the designs and the overall approach people
have towards this particular photo shoot. Europeans tend to be a little less preoccupied about
how “perfect” a shoot will turn out to be and will grant more attention to the emotional side of the
event and might go for really simple pictures, but taken in a place of great emotional relevance, like
a cafeteria or a park.

The high school portrait photography might be in this case a little less artsy and maybe intentionally
anti-glamour, a game that’s usually played by some photographers. These shoots tend to take place
in unconventional locations and have some sort of “story” attached to it, thus trying to make the
experience more memorable and more creative.

US shoots, on the other hand, tend to be creative as well, as you can check out accessing this

emphasis is put on the fashion side of the shoot and on the way it lives up to the standards of the
photography you usually see in glossy magazines. It’s a different approach, but which comes with
the same level of creativity and willingness to create something special.

A good yearbook is something that requires hard work and a professional attitude from the behalf
of the photographer and a genuine devoutness from the behalf of the graduate. If these elements
exist, better said co-exist, then there is a chance that a very good yearbook shaving “High school
pictures, 2013” on its cover will be produced and treasured forever.

We have had our new website already designed. The original designer attempted to convert the design to HTML / CSS but was unable to finish the job. We need somebody to take this design and create a WordPress theme for us.

We can provide all image assets and even a foundation of HTML / CSS to start working from. However, the HTML was not cross browser compatible and did not work correctly in IE. It was also not written with WordPress in mind.

I’ve had this happen a few times over the years. Usually it’s a plugin that goes haywire. I’ve disabled all the plugins and still I can’t access wp-admin.php – When I try I get

Error 310 (net::ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS): There were too many redirects.

When I try wp-login.php it will shows login screen, but won’t log-in (goes into redirect loop finally landing on /wp-admin/ which is, as stated about the redirect errors.

Interesting enough, when I log in via the Android app I get right in and can edit posts, etc. That’s how I’m going to upload my post tonight.

Is there something I can do via phpMyAdmin or ftp that could potentially fix this?

Again, I disabled all plugins and nothing changed.

I have a custom-made photography website which works using a combination of WP (Modularity v. 3.0.6) & Slideshow Pro. The main structure of the site is in WP; all ‘parent’ galleries; Articles etc are in WP. Slideshow Pro is used to create ‘child’ albums within galleries, & for all photo uploading, editing etc.

I have a big problem with the way one of the galleries has been set up (the number of albums viewable is restricted to 8; I need more than this) & I need someone who understands this interaction between WP & SSP to assist just with fixing this one issue. (There are a few other glitches but this is the main issue with the site). The problem is I do not have the flash files or codes used to set up the site – the web designer has gone AWOL. So I need to either completely re-set up that gallery, or set up two new galleries to replace it. I can explain more if anyone thinks they can help with this. • Complete understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript (especially modern versions, i.e. HTML5, CSS3)
• Working knowledge of PHP and PHP driven web applications
• Experience with web-based HTML5 /CSS3 multi-touch apps a necessity
• Knowledge of WordPress, Drupal, or Expression Engine a plus
• Knowledge of Ruby on Rails a plus
• Knowledge of iOS, Android, Windows Phone development platforms a plus
• Appreciation and understanding of UX / UI design• Appreciation of good design and elegant experiences

Personal skills should include:

• Native or Fluent English speaking – ability to explain and troubleshoot abstract concepts
• Incredible sense of teamwork and communication
• Very highly disciplined and self motivated
• High level of self-respect and respects others’ time and space
• Must dislike micro-management
• Positive mindset
