Eclipse Learns How To Board The Bus
Eclipse is a black labrador mastiff cross, who loves venturing to the park. Most of the dogs we hear about do this with their owners, but Eclipse is different. It all started when her owner Jeff Young was taking her to the park and lit a cigarette before the bus arrived. He was taking too long and Eclipse didn’t want to wait, so onto the bus she went.
A Friendly Face On The D-Line
In King County Seattle, it is up to the discretion of the transit drivers if they allow dogs onto the bus. Eclipse has made friends with any of the drivers and a lot of passengers smile when they see her get on board. “All the bus drivers know her.” said fellow rider Tiona Rainwater to KOMO. Eclipse has become a little bit of a celebrity in the Seattle area because of her exceptional smarts when it comes to riding transit.
She Knows Exactly Where Her Stop Is
She hops on the D-line and knows that in 3-4 stops, she will arrive at the park dependant on where she boarded the bus. Her owner can always catch up and meet her at the park. Eclipse is a dog on a mission and she is making other passengers days as she goes on her own adventure to the nearby park. We are wondering if she pays fare? Happy travels Eclipse!
