Sergey Baranov found a cat stuck under his car in Zlatoust, Russia where the winter has been quite harsh, with icy temperatures dropping as low as -35°C (-31°F), making it difficult for stray animals to be out and about.
As soon as he found the kitten, Sergey moved his car and got help from his wife Yelena to safely remove him from the ice, since the cat was covered in it and got his little paws stuck in the snow, for which they used several buckets of warm water until the kitty was finally free. After rushing him into the house and getting him warm, the couple called a vet that gave the cat an anti-inflammatory shot and made sure the furry friend was okay.
A few days later, Sergey and Yelena found a lady that was happy to take the cat and give him a forever home. A happy ending to one cold story!
