Fez and Kelso are 12-year-old cats that came into the Fredericksburg SPCA in Fredericksburg, Virginia when their family moved and they were left behind. Although they had each other, the confusion of no longer being in their usual home was a bit much for them and they were understandably sad, until Mary and Steve Fultz heard about them.
The couple already had a 10-year-old cat named Morty and were looking to adopt another one since they loved cats so much. However, a friend of Mary’s sent her a picture of Fez and Kelso and she knew she had to adopt them both. “We never pictured ourselves as a three-cat family, yet my husband Steve and I agreed that we needed to adopt both because they were brothers,” she shared.
It was an emotional time for her going to the shelter to see these kitties. When they asked her if she wanted to take them both, she teared up and said she could never separate them. Go Mary!
Morty is adjusting to his new siblings for the time being, but they expect them to become good friends. The couple encourages people to adopt older cats in needs of home and so do we!
